G20 Summit gets true plug-and-play connections
In 2014, the Australian Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (the Department of PM&C) agreed to host the G20 Leaders’ Summit, an international gathering of governments and central bank governors from 20 leading economies. Dimension Data, a global provider of information technology services—from data centers to security and virtually everything in between—was selected to serve as the technology partner for the department at the summit. Their responsibility: provide the infrastructure and wireless networking services to connect more than 7,000 world leaders, delegates and media during the two-day event to be held in Brisbane. This meant creating a temporary but secure, cloud-based network for some of the world’s most influential leaders. One that would never experience downtime or lag issues.
