EMC Lists SmartOptics on ESM

SmartOptics has further strengthened its position as Market Leader for Fibre Channel transmission products with the recent listing of its 4Gbps 80km CWDM transceivers on the EMC Support Matrix (ESM). The approval of these transceivers now allows long distance connections of synchronous 4Gbps FC applications in an EMC environment without the need for additional active transmission equipment. 4Gbps synchronous SAN traffic can now be connected between sites up to 80km away without the need for additional amplification. When using the CWDM SFP transceivers, multiple SAN and WAN traffic channels are quickly and easily connected over the same fibre pair without the need for expensive DWDM equipment.
