SmartOptics is proud to build on its reputation as market leader of Fibre Channel transmission products with the recent launch of its 8G SFP+ Transceiver family.  As well as all 850nm shortwave and 1310nm longwave parts, the portfolio also consists of eight CWDM channels for distances up to 40km.  Once again, customers investing in the latest Fibre Channel switching equipment can now carry their services between data centres; either as single ISLs or as part of a multi channel SAN / WAN network.   The 8G transceivers are fully interoperable with SmartOptics existing range of T-Series multiplexers therefore allowing multiple 8G channels to be seamlessly linked in to an existing SmartOptics CWDM architecture.  Customers purchasing 8G Fibre Channel equipment can run this equipment between sites in a simple and cost effective way.
